Jujutsu Kaisen (JJK) 268 Spoilers, Review, and Raw Scans – Megumi is Finally Free (2024)

JJK 268 spoilers are finally here and the title of this chapter is “Conclusion”. Yuji has finally defeated Sukuna and Megumi is now free from Sukuna.

The chapter will be officially released on September 1st and can be read through the Manga Plus app. If you prefer to avoid spoilers, you can wait to read the chapter on Sunday.

In this article, I will discuss the events of JJK 268 and offer my review of the chapter.

Recap

In the previous chapter, JJK 267, we saw Gojo and Yuta discussing the limits of Yuta’s copy technique. We also found out whose finger was kept hidden.

It turns out that Yuta, unable to copy Sukuna’s shrine, bluffed in front of him. Yuta actually ate Yuji’s finger and Sukuna’s last finger was kept hidden.

The Jujutsu Sorcerers woke Nobara up, and she used her Resonance ability on Sukuna’s remaining finger.

This weakened Sukuna, allowing Yuji to use the strongest black flash to finish the job and defeat him.

What Happened in JJK 268 Spoilers?

The chapter begins with the same point of view, showing Sukuna once again trying to convince Megumi to give up.

Sukuna taunted Megumi, reminding him that he first allowed Sukuna to take over his body and then killed his sister. He then ordered Megumi to give up.

Megumi told Sukuna that Yuji would turn him back into a cursed object, expressing his happiness that Sukuna was finally going to die.

Having given up on himself, he decided to live for others.

We then witnessed Megumi’s separation from Sukuna, as Sukuna was peeled off from his body, finally freeing him.

Sukuna, without a host, became a curse once more. Yuji looked down at him and asked, “What will you do now?

Yuji held Sukuna’s cursed form in his hands and attempted to Talk no Jutsu once again, trying to convince him, “If nobody will accept you, I alone will live on with you.” We then see Sukuna’s cursed spirit fading away, most likely he is dead but unconfirmed as of now.

Hakari and Uraume After Sukuna’s Defeat

Don’t underestimate me,” Sukuna retorted, “I am a curse.” The manga’s point of view then shifted to Uraume and Hakari.

Both realized that Sukuna had been defeated. Hakari asked Uraume what they should do now that there was no longer a point in fighting.

Uraume responded, “It’s the end. There’s no meaning to anything anymore.

Uraume continued, “You were all just lucky that Sukuna had a reincarnated body, and that you were born late. Otherwise, Sukuna would have never been defeated.

Being lucky is the biggest compliment for me,” Hakari replied. Uraume conceded, “I suppose you’re right,” and then faded away.

Trio After Sukuna’s Defeat

The manga panel shifted back to the trio, showing Megumi resting on the bed while Yuji held Nobara in a box.

Megumi asked what they were doing, and they replied, “We’re trying to pull the Kugisaki prank (the same one Gojo did by bringing Yuji).

Nobara then asked the boys if they were shocked by her sudden appearance, as they had both thought she was dead.

Gojo Letters For Megumi and Nobara

Yuji then showed them the letters Gojo had left, deciding to open them since all three of them were together again.

The letters were addressed only to Megumi and Nobara. Megumi got confused as to why Yuji didn’t receive a letter, he then told them he already had a chat with Gojo.

Yuji admitted that he had cried a bit when he saw the effects of Resonance on Sukuna.

Yuji asked what Nobara’s letter said, and she replied that it contained the location of her mother. Yuji then asked Megumi about his letter.

The letter revealed the truth about Megumi’s father and how Gojo had been forced to kill him. Gojo apologized in a lighthearted manner.

However, letter didn’t mention the name of Megumi’s father, so most likely Megumi still does not know who his father was.

Nobara then said that everyone was waiting. Megumi thought he had to apologize for everything, but Nobara clarified that it was about Yuta.

At the end of the chapter, Yuji says we gotta save Yuta’s life. The chapter ended with editor notes saying:

Is Okkotsu alright?! Only three chapters remain!

Final Words

It is good to see the trio back together, However, did Yuji really kill Sukuna or Sukuna will be back in the end, the ending of Sukuna feels a bit weird.

We will find out once the chapter is released officially. I always hated the fact that Gojo never told Megumi about his father Toji Fushiguro. Uraume’s demise was weird as I really wanted Hakari to kill Uraume.

There is a break next week so we will have to wait till 15th September 2024 for the next chapter. Only three chapters are remaining before the JJK manga ends.
